Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience: 1 year required, obtained within the last year
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association or the Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation
• BLS issued by the American Heart Association or the Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation
• LA Fire Card
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Health and Onboarding Requirements

• Physical exam: Within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, stating the candidate is free of infectious disease and able to work with or without accommodation
• TB: Negative IGRA/TSPOT, QuantiFERON Gold, or 2 PPDs within 12 months of start; positive TB history requires proof and a chest X-ray
• MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), varicella, and hepatitis B: Documentation or titers required; declinations accepted in some cases
• TDAP: Required within 10 years; declination acceptable
• Drug screen: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start; instant screens accepted
• Flu vaccine: Required during flu season; declinations accepted
• COVID: Vaccination record preferred; declinations not required
• Respirator clearance (RespSafety): Required for travel candidates, renewed annually
• Fit mask: Required for travel candidates; any mask type accepted
• Annual regulatory modules: About 3.5 hours, assigned through the agency's learning system
• Float policy: Acknowledgement required; may be required to float to another facility within a reasonable distance
