Oncology RN

Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Saint Louis, Missouri
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
• 36 hours per week
• Start date: 3–4 weeks out per compliance tier
• First-timers accepted
• Every other weekend required
• Pending license accepted
• No local candidates within 75 miles
• May float within the service line
• Not open to block scheduling
• No on-call

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• 1 year of Registered Nurse experience
• Oncology experience within the last year
• Oncology (1 year of experience)
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• Relias EKG exam with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Must be able to work with Medical Oncology and BMT patient populations
• Must be able to perform IV starts, administer chemotherapy, trach care, and access ports and central lines
• Must be able to work with no vents
• Must be able to use CAD pumps

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN

Unit / Patient Population

• Medical Oncology: solid tumor cases including lung, breast, and pancreatic
• BMT: leukemia and bone cases
• Average stay: 3–5 days
• BMT unit has 96 beds

Additional Notes

• Ratios: 1:4–5; 1:3 for BMT on all shifts
• Chemotherapy administration is not needed by TN
• Stem cell transplantation is not needed by TN
