Intermediate Care (IMC) Registered Nurse

Location: Wausau, Wisconsin Employment Type: Travel Contract Length: 13 weeks Start Date: ASAP Contract End: Sunday (not Saturday) for this unit

Schedule

Shift: 12-hour night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week, except during holidays when the unit is closed
Orientation Week: GSA hours are not guaranteed
Weekends/Holidays: Every other weekend and every other holiday
On Call: Not required. Low census hours can be taken in 4-hour increments and are not considered on call.
Float Requirements: As needed to other inpatient units, typically to higher acuity units

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Wisconsin
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Two years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
Experience with mechanical ventilation
Experience with tracheostomy care
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
