Registered Nurse - MS/Tele

Location: Maryville, Tennessee Employment Type: Travel/Contract Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule

• Nights, 3x12 or 4x12 hours (19:00 to 07:30)
• 12 hours per day, 48 hours per week
• Weekend coverage every other weekend, subject to change based on need
• Float to similar units is required if needed

Clinical Setting and Procedures

• Post heart cath
• Bedside procedures: dialysis catheter, thoracentesis, I&D

Required Qualifications

• Valid Tennessee RN license
• At least 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry experience, completed within the last year
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) certification, renewed annually unless the certificate states otherwise
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• At least 1 year of Epic experience

Preferred / Conditional

• Additional certifications (e.g., PALS, TNCC, ENPC, MAB or CPI) are required only if the unit requires them. Confirm with the unit.
• First-time travelers are reviewed based on their experience.

Software Familiarity (not a credential)

• At least 1 year of EPIC experience
• Omnicell medication system

Onboarding Requirements

• Background: 7-year background check within 12 months of start; OIG and EPLS/GSA/SAM searches within 30 days of start; E-Verify or attestation
• Identification: Driver's license or state ID required immediately upon signing (must be carried on duty); badge photo required
• Testing: Medication test (passing score 84%, two attempts); competency exam completed within the past year and renewed annually; core training renewed annually
• Health: Physical exam statement within 1 year; TB screening (QuantiFERON, T-SPOT, or 2-step PPD) within 90 days of start, or a chest X-ray if positive; 5-panel drug screen within 1 year and renewed annually; flu vaccine or approved exemption on file by the set deadline; documented immunity or 2 vaccines for rubeola, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B (or declination)
• Respirator fit test: completed onsite during orientation
• Orientation modules: about 12 hours, to be completed within 72 hours of assignment
