Role

• Travel/Contract Registered Nurse
• Medical Surgical/Telemetry 4th Floor
• 36-bed medical surgical/telemetry unit with an emphasis on the orthopedic patient population
• Additional surgical specialties include surgical oncology, general surgery, GYN surgery, and OMFS
• Telemetry monitoring is accommodated

Schedule

• Night shift, 4x12 hours, 19:00-07:00
• 36 or 48 hour option
• 13 or 26 week contract option
• Weekend requirement: 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in a 4-week period
• Holiday requirement: work 2 of 3 major holidays

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Nebraska
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience with 2 years of experience
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• BLS issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience in an Academic Medical Center or Large Hospital setting
• Experience with cardiac or critical care drips
• Experience with Epic
• Must be prepared to float frequently; travelers are first to float
• Will float within scope to meet facility needs, including potentially to Main campus
• Locals not accepted; candidate must live more than 100 miles from the facility
• Pending license accepted, but if the license is not in hand at submission, the traveler will be booked six weeks out

Preferred

• NIH
• CPI

Additional Details

• Drips are required on all floors
• RTO up to two weeks is permitted and must be submitted with the application
• Scrubs are mandatory: Steele gray scrubs with the Nebraska Medicine logo printed on the back
