Required Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma AND at least 60 semester hours including 6 hours of chemistry, 6 hours of biology, and 12 hours of laboratory science, OR completion of an approved military laboratory training program (Medical Laboratory Technician). For the Medical Laboratory Scientist role: bachelor's degree in chemical, biological, or clinical laboratory science AND at least 48 semester hours of science coursework, including 12 hours of chemistry (general, organic, or biochemistry), 12 hours of biology (general, molecular/cell/genetics), and 24 hours of chemistry, biology, or medical laboratory science or technology in any combination.
• Medical Lab Technician experience: Minimum of 0.5 years (6 months) of clinical laboratory experience as a Medical Lab Technician.
• Recent experience: Medical Lab Technician experience within the last year.
• Chemistry bench experience: Hands-on experience on the chemistry bench.
• Hematology bench experience: Hands-on experience on the hematology bench.
• Microbiology bench experience: Hands-on experience on the microbiology bench.
• Blood bank experience: Hands-on experience in the blood bank.
• Medical Lab Scientist experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical laboratory experience as a Medical Lab Scientist, including rotations in blood bank, microbiology, chemistry, and hematology.
