- 12-hour shifts
- Days
- Every other weekend
Required Qualifications
- Active BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
- California RN license
- 2 full years of ICU experience
- 1 year of travel experience
Preferred Qualifications
- EKG basic dysrhythmia course
- Pharmacology
- TNCC
- Sheath pulling experience
Clinical Details
- Ratios: 1:2, or 1:1 with high acuity
- Floating: Tele or ER for holds
- Vents: Yes
- Drips include Cardizem, dobutamine, dopamine, TPA, and all critical gtts
- Common patient types include trauma, GSW, severe head trauma, stab wounds, CABG, IABP, CHF, GI bleed, DKA, large homeless population, stroke-TPA, long bone fractures, GI surgeries, and major transfusions
Additional Notes
- Must read and interpret own strips
- Bedside report is expected
- Self-scheduling is acceptable on a new schedule
- Floor orientation is 2 days if Cerner experience is present
