Respiratory Therapist

Location: Peru, Illinois Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: Days, 12-hour shifts (36 hours per week)

Schedule

• 3 twelve-hour shifts per week
• Every other weekend and every other holiday
• Call-off policy: equivalent of 12 hours every 13 weeks with no penalty or need to pay for the shift

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience
• Active Illinois license, or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
• BLS (AHA)
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) via NBRC
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) via NBRC

• Requested time off
• Candidate must pass a drug screen with a negative result on all panels. The facility is a drug-free campus.

Clinical Details

• Procedures: General respiratory therapy, nebulizers, ABGs, BiPAP, ventilators, Neopuff, high-flow therapy
• Equipment: Servo Classic, Servo Lite, V60, Parapac, Vapotherm, EKG
• Unit size: 12-bed med/surg unit at a small rural hospital
• Floating: Floating to other units and departments may be expected. The source does not list specific units.

Orientation and Dress Code

• Non-billable orientation: 12 hours. Guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation.
