Ultrasound Technologist - General (Days), Berlin, NH

Role Summary

Under general supervision and following established procedures, the Ultrasound Technologist operates highly technical ultrasound equipment that produces high-frequency sound to acquire images for physicians to use in diagnosing and treating pathologies. The role requires independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative in applying prescribed high-frequency sound for diagnosis. The technologist assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required, works effectively with patients and their families, and maintains a cooperative relationship with interdepartmental personnel.

Facility Context

• Critical Access Hospital with 25 beds in a rural area
• Offers 24/7 emergency care and in-house treatment of most medical issues

Required Qualifications

• Valid Ultrasound Technologist license in New Hampshire, in hand, current, and uploaded with profile
• At least 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, with experience within the last year
• RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) or ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Sonographers) credential
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
• At least 1 year of current experience working with OB patients
• Experience with breast imaging
• Experience with vascular ultrasound, including DVT exams
