Location: Los Alamitos, CA (local candidates accepted) Employment Type: Travel/Contract Contract Length: 13 weeks Specialty: Registered Nurse

Schedule

• Shift: Day, 3x12 hours (7:00 to 19:30)
• Hours: 12 per day, 36 per week
• Float Required: Yes
• Weekend Coverage: Yes, as needed
• Ratio: 1:4 (days, nights, and weekends)
• Patient Age Groups: Adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Scrubs: Not provided (any color)

Required Qualifications

• Valid California RN license
• Minimum 3 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience, with Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or RQI
• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience with Epic

Health Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start, updated annually
• N95 mask fit test within 1 year of start, renewed annually (PAPR accepted only with proof of a failed N95 fit test)
• TB screening (negative PPD, TSpot, or QuantiFERON within 1 year of start)
• Rubeola, mumps, rubella, and varicella: positive titer, or 2 vaccines after age 1
• Hepatitis B: vaccine series or declination (titer not accepted)
• Hepatitis C: titer strongly preferred; declination accepted if necessary
• Tdap vaccine (a pertussis titer is accepted only if the candidate cannot get it for a health reason)
• 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start (instant drug screen accepted)
• Flu vaccine by 12/5 (2026-27 season), or a signed declination; masking is required for those who decline

Onboarding and Documentation

• Medication/calculation exam taken during orientation
• Confidentiality agreement completed within 72 hours of signing
• Medication dispensing system agreement due 5 business days before orientation
• Sign unit job description and orientation acknowledgment
• Skin care standard of care packet and attestation
• Epidural pain policy review before start
• Sexual violence and sexual harassment policy review
• Complete online orientation modules and provide the transcript
