Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery
Location: Los Angeles, California Employment Type: Travel/Contract Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: Night, 3 x 12-hour shifts (19:00 to 7:30) Hours: 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week
Unit Details
- Unit: 4 Triage, 11 LDR, 2 OR, NICU & Post-Partum; 24 OB hospitalist & OB anesthesia; low and high risk L&D
- Patient population: Neonates, adolescents, and adults
Requirements
- Valid RN license in California
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Labor and Delivery experience (2 years)
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- Experience working with high-risk patients
- Proficiency in vaginal exams
- Knowledge of the CMQCC Category II algorithm
- Advanced Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) experience
- AWHONN Advanced
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or RQI
- BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or RQI
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
- Experience circulating for C-sections
- Experience with Epic
Work Schedule and Time Off
- 4 weekend shifts per month (Friday or Saturday)
- If working 4 shifts per week, no on-call is required
- If working 3 shifts, 1 on-call shift per 2 weeks
- Time off requests must be on the submittal and cannot be taken during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
- 1 holiday time-off request may be submitted but is not guaranteed; must work most holidays
- Time off requests cannot be changed once submitted, except to cancel; confirm all dates for the full 13-week contract
- Maximum of 3 days off
