Location: Austin, Texas Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: 18:45 - 07:15
Role Overview
- Critical Care Float Pool assignment
- Provide direct nursing care under established policies, procedures, and protocols
- Implement and monitor patient care plans
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition
- Serve as primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders
- Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Critical Care Float experience (2 years), including experience within the last year
- CVICU experience
- PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care) experience
- NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care) experience
- ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- PALS certification
- NIHSS certification
- Valid driver's license
Optional Items
- Unit-specific checklist, which the unit leader must upload within one week of onboarding
- Tuberculosis chest X-ray (alternative to the TB screening above, when applicable)
- Legal documentation of name change
