Overview

  • Role: RN PCU
  • Unit: Acuity-adaptable brain/spine unit
  • Shift: 19:00 - 07:30
  • Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Indiana
  • PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
  • PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association
  • NIHSS
  • Driver's License
  • Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start.
  • Current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start of assignment for all licensed professionals.
  • Ascension Pharmacology Exam must be completed prior to start, with a minimum score of 80% and only 2 attempts allowed.
  • Ascension Medical Surgical Exam must be completed prior to start, with a minimum score of 80% and only 2 attempts allowed.
  • Ascension Core Competencies must be completed within a year of start, with a minimum score of 80% or the national benchmark passing score.
  • Ascension EKG Exam must be completed with a passing score of at least 80% and only two attempts permitted.
  • Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation must be uploaded after completing the pre-hire 6 hours.
  • Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding is done onsite.
  • Ascension Badge Photo must be a forward-facing headshot with a white or blue background and no alterations or filters.
  • COVID-19 Vaccine: fully vaccinated; no declinations accepted.
  • MMR: documented proof of two MMR vaccines or positive IGG titer; no declinations accepted.
  • Fit Test is required for all travelers.
  • Hepatitis B: documentation of vaccination series completion or declination.
  • Influenza Vaccine: exemptions/declinations are accepted, but the candidate must wear a mask at all times during flu season.
  • Health Statement: statement of good health or completed physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually.
  • Driver's License/State ID must not be expired and must show front/back.
  • 2 Step PPD OR IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) is required.
  • Varicella: documented proof of two vaccines, serological immunity, or provider verification of history; no declinations accepted.
  • Tdap must be valid for 10 years from the administered date.
  • Ascension Profile: resume or profile.
  • Ascension 2 Professional References: at least two professional references.
  • Ascension Skills Checklist must be completed within one year of start and updated annually for specialty.
  • Ascension 12 Panel Drug Screen must be completed within 30 days prior to the start of the first assignment.
  • Ascension Education Verification must be completed within 90 days of start.
  • Ascension Confirmation of Assignment must be provided upon initial assignment and updated upon each extension.
  • Ascension Employment Verification covers the past seven years.
  • License/Certificate Verification is required within 30 days prior to start of assignment for all licensed professionals.
