Overview

• Per Diem RN role in San Pedro, California
• Day shift: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM, 12-hour shifts
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• EPIC experience is required; no training provided
• No orientations for this position
• Float to less or similar specialties where needed and qualified

Required Qualifications

• 2 years recent experience in specialty
• AHA ACLS
• AHA BLS
• NIH
• LA Fire card within 30 days of starting is acceptable to sub without
• 2 recent references, with at least one from a supervisor; Charge RN accepted
• Must have more than MICU experience and additional experience in other specialized ICUs
• Preferred additional ICU experience: Surgical, Trauma, Shock, or Neuro ICU

• Assist with management of CPAP
• Assist with Chest Tube Insertion/Removal
• Care of Ventilated Patient
• High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
• Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs)
• Suctioning (ETT, NT)
• Ventilator Management
• Infection Prevention
• Isolation Precautions/Use of PPE
• Surgical Wounds with drains/Wound Vac
