Role Overview

• Practice nurse role in an oncology clinic
• No infusion at this clinic
• Patients are oncology patients seen before, during, or after treatments, plus follow-up, pre-op, and post-op visits
• Duties include telephone triage, inbasket handling, and assisting providers during clinic visits
• May float between specialties
• Based in a clinic with ambulatory care experience

Schedule

• Day shift, 4x10 hours
• 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• 40 hours per week
• Start date: ASAP
• Guaranteed hours

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Connecticut
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Oncology experience with 2 years of experience
• Oncology experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ONS/ONCC
• NIHSS
• Experience in an Ambulatory Care setting
• Ambulatory/clinic nursing experience
• Phone triage experience
• Practice nurse experience
