Outpatient Hospice RN

Location: Albany, Oregon (office location) Specialty: Nursing Employment type: Contract Contract length: 13 weeks Schedule: Days (0800-1630), occasional weekends Hours per week: 40

Role Overview

Supports patients and family members through the final stages of illness.
Provides care in the home setting, including the patient's own residence, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and adult foster homes.
Serves patients in Linn, Benton, Marion, Polk, and Lincoln Counties.
Services include intermittent skilled nursing visits (24-hour on-call nursing available), pain and symptom management, counseling, and bereavement support.
Works alongside medical social services, spiritual support, hospice aides, and trained hospice volunteers.

Required Qualifications

Current, unencumbered Oregon RN licensure, required upon submission.
Healthcare Provider level BLS.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Hospice experience of at least 1 year, with hospice experience within the last year.
Valid driver's license.

Cons

Schedule was atrocious especially night shift. Significant amount of floating to the ER as helping hands or a sitter.
