4:1 with cath recovery
6:1 max ratio
May be stretched to 7:1 at times

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Kentucky
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Telemetry (2 years of experience)
Telemetry experience within the last year
BLS
ACLS
NIHSS
Knowledge of chest tubes
Dysthymia training

Preferred / Helpful Experience

Knowledge of chest tubes
Dysthymia training

Unit Details

Remote Telemetry monitors
Alaris pumps
Floating may include Ortho/Med-Surg
PCTS on day and night shift
Unit Clerks on day shift

Procedures Performed on the Unit

Chest tube insertions
Bedside Paracentesis
Thoracentesis
