Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM (12 hours per day, 36 hours per week)
Role Overview
The staff Registered Nurse is a professional caregiver responsible for a group of patients for a designated time frame. The role provides care using the nursing process and includes:
- Completing initial patient assessments and developing plans of care based on patient and family needs
- Implementing plans of care, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures, and modifying them through ongoing evaluation
- Maintaining accurate, up-to-date nursing documentation for the healthcare team
- Taking responsibility for patient and employee safety by reporting and correcting hazards and incidents
- Offering constructive feedback to peers and fulfilling all departmental competency requirements
Required Qualifications
- Valid Illinois state RN license in good standing
- Neurology experience of at least 3 years
- Neurology experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing
