Overview

Travel RN position in Springfield, Missouri
Night shift: 3x12, 1900-0700
36 guaranteed hours per week
13-week assignment
1 opening
Every other weekend required
No call required

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Missouri
NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (2 years of experience)
NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
BLS
NRP
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Driver's License
Ventilator competency
Flu vaccination or Mercy-approved exemption required for travelers from November 1-April 1; declinations are not accepted

Preferred Qualifications

TNCC
PALS
2 years in a NICU level 3 or higher

Unit Details

Neonatal ICU 5F
46 beds
NICU patient ratio is 1:3, with ratios determined by acuity
Float scope includes NICU, PICU, and Postpartum floor based on patient volumes

Patient Population

Premature infants
Infants of diabetic mothers
Infants with respiratory distress
Post-date infants
Neonatal patients

Additional Notes

Night shift orientation occurs on day shift and requires availability for the entire week
Black scrubs required; Mercy Kids scrub top with black scrub pants is allowed
