Overview

Role: ED Observation RN
Location: Portland, Oregon
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Nights, 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
Contract length: 13 weeks
Unit: ED OBS / ED Observation, a 16-bed unit split across 5B and 6B

Unit Details

Adult patients with medically necessary stays expected to span less than two midnights
Common patient types include ACS rule out, mild trauma, cellulitis w/ IV abx, stroke, head bleed monitoring, COVID PUI, and COVID positive patients
RN ratio is 1:4
CNA ratio is 1:8
Unit has at least 1 Advanced Practice Provider on duty 24/7
The unit provides direct telemetry monitoring, EKGs, IV starts, and phlebotomy services

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Oregon
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry experience
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

Telemetry experience
