Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer

Location: Springfield, Illinois Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology Employment Type: Travel/Contract Contract Length: 13 weeks Start: ASAP Candidates: Local candidates considered

Schedule

Day shift, 5 x 8 hours (8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.), Monday through Friday
40 hours per week
No weekends or call

Required Qualifications

Echo Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Background and Compliance

Background check within 1 year of start, including SSN trace, county searches for the last 7 years of locations lived, worked, or attended school, nationwide search, and sex offender search. Updated annually.
EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks, completed annually
Government-issued photo ID
Emergency contact form, required before start
Professional, clear, passport-style photo with a solid background (for badge)
Signed facility agreements regarding access to confidential information and harassment

Health Requirements

Physical exam within 1 year of start
Negative TB test (PPD, QuantiFERON Gold, or T-SPOT) within 1 year of start. If past positive, a negative chest X-ray dated after the positive result is required. Annual TB questionnaire required.
Rubeola (measles), mumps, and rubella: proof of titer or vaccination required for candidates born in 1957 or later
Hepatitis B: titer, declination, or 3-dose vaccine series
Varicella: titer, 2 vaccines at least 4 weeks apart, or history of chickenpox
9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start (instant drug screen acceptable)
Flu vaccine or declination required during flu season (10/1 to 3/31)
