OR RN Night Shift

Location: Phoenix, Arizona Employment Type: Travel/Contract Contract Length: 13 weeks Specialty: Registered Nurse Patient Age Groups: Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics

Schedule

• Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00 to 07:30)
• 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week
• On-call required (discussed during interview)
• Not open to block scheduling
• Blackout RTO dates: 11/26, 12/25, 1/01

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Arizona
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Operating Room experience of at least 2 years, with OR experience within the last year
• Experience in Charge roles
• Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
• Experience in 3 of 4 areas: general surgery, orthopedic surgery, gynecologic surgery, or trauma
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
• BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association

Certifications

• ACLS, BLS, and PALS, all AHA only

Health and Compliance

• Most health items are time sensitive and must be completed within 72 hours of signing the contract.
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, confirming good health, no communicable disease, and no physical limitations.
• Tdap within 10 years of start. TD is not accepted. Medical or religious exemptions are subject to facility review.
• TB test (QuantiFERON or T-SPOT) within 1 year. PPDs are no longer accepted. A positive history requires a chest X-ray within 5 years and a TB questionnaire within 30 days of start.
• Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella: positive titer or proof of 2 vaccines before start.
• Hepatitis B: declination within the last year, completed vaccine series, or positive IgG titer.
• Influenza vaccine or medical/religious exemption required during flu season (10/01 to 03/31). Candidates with exemptions must wear a mask at facilities.
• Fit test within 1 year of start, updated annually. Any mask type is accepted.
• Negative drug screen within 30 days of start. Rapid tests are not accepted. Required panels include methamphetamine.
• Background check within 1 year of start, including SS Trace, 7-year county, national criminal, and FACIS III. International search is not required.
• Sex offender, HHS/OIG, and EPLS/GSA/SAM searches within 30 days of start.
• Education verification at the minimum level for the position.
• Online orientation module (about 35 minutes) to complete before starting.
• Contract staff orientation acknowledgment and confidentiality form, both requiring candidate signature.

• Up-to-date skills checklist for each position the candidate may work in, current within 1 year.
