Medical Lab Technician

Overview

• Travel/Contract assignment in Philippi, West Virginia
• Start date: ASAP
• Duration: 13 weeks, with option to extend
• Alternating days and nights; variable shifts are 7:00 AM–7:30 PM or 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
• Can request 36 or 48 hours per week
• Locals are not accepted; radius rule is 75 miles

Required Qualifications

• Valid Medical Lab Technician license in West Virginia
• Medical Lab Technician (2 years of experience)
• Medical Lab Technician experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• Phlebotomy experience

Compliance and Health Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID
• E-Verify or attestation
• Background check
• EPLS/GSA/SAM
• HHS/OIG
• West Virginia Nurse Aid Registry check
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, then annually
• Tdap within 10 years of start
• TB screening or chest X-ray within 12 months of start
• Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella immunity/vaccination documentation
• Drug screen within 30 days of start
• Flu vaccine or approved exemption
• Flu medical exemptions require a signed doctor’s note and completion of the exemption request form
• CareLearning modules before start
• Patient rights and responsibilities acknowledgment
• Non-employee confidentiality and security agreement
• Onboarding checklist
• Photo for badge
• Hep B declination form if declining Hep B

• Medical exemptions for flu are considered; religious exemptions are not accepted
