RN- Whole House Float ICU/PCU/MS Float

Overview

• Travel/contract RN role in Roanoke, Virginia.
• Night shift: 3x12s, 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM.
• 13-week contract.
• First-time travelers accepted.
• Locals accepted.

Unit / Float Scope

• Whole House Float covering ICU, PCU, and MS units.
• Traveler may float 2-3 times per shift, with staffing re-evaluated every 4 hours.
• Must be comfortable working all ICU, PCU, and MS units.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Virginia
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Critical Care Float experience with 2 years of experience
• Critical Care Float experience within the last year
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• IV therapy experience
• PICC line management experience
• Central line care and management experience
• Arterial line management experience
• Blood product administration experience
• Trach management experience
• Non-invasive airway support experience including nasal cannula, CPAP/BiPAP, ventilator management, and chest tubes
• Continuous IV sedation experience
• Emergency medications experience
• Titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips experience
• Experience with Epic

Scheduling Requirements

• May be scheduled every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week block.
• Must work one holiday per 13-week contract.

• Facility allows one call-off shift per 2 weeks.
