Long-term contract
Location: Springfield, Massachusetts
Shift: NOC
Contract length: 13 weeks
Will accommodate 48hr contracts

Unit Details

ICU Float Position
Float scope: Medical HVCC, SICU, and IMC
Medical ICU / Neuro Critical Care unit
32 beds
Split between 2 floors
Expected ratios: 1:2, or 1:1 when acuity requires it
Cases seen: SEPSIS, ESRD & AKI requiring CRRT/CVVH, post cardiac arrest care, respiratory failure

Required Qualifications

1 year in a Level 1 ICU, or 2 years in a MICU setting
NIHSS
BLS through American Heart Association
ACLS through American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications

Strong ICU nursing background
A nurse with only 1 year of experience and who was a new grad may be too new for the unit
