Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) - Home Health

Location: Rancho Cordova, California
Setting: Home Health (Greater Sacramento County area)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days
Hours: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
Typical Patient Load: 5-6 patients per day

Job Description

• Provide physical therapy services in a home health setting.
• Treat a variety of diagnoses including cardiovascular, pulmonary, orthopedic, neurological, and geriatric conditions.
• Productivity goal: 5-6 patients per day.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license.
• BLS (AHA) certification.
• Two supervisory references required at time of submission:

  • One reference within the past 12 months.
  • One reference within the past 3 years.
• Copy of a government-issued ID (driver’s license) required to validate legal name.
• Candidates must not have been directly employed (full time, part time, or PRN) by any facility associated with certain large healthcare systems within the past year; PRN employment through outside firms is acceptable.
• New graduates with less than 6 months of experience may be considered only in extreme cases.

Additional Information

• Work covers the greater Sacramento Home Health area.
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week with 8-hour day shifts.
