Location: San Antonio, TX Unit: Telemetry (Tele 630) Employment type: Travel Contract length: 13 weeks Hours per week: 36 (guaranteed) Shift: 7P-7:30A

Schedule and Assignment Details

Call requirements: None
Weekends: Every other weekend, plus some holidays
All travelers are required to float. The floating policy is reviewed during the interview.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
Med Surg / Telemetry experience (2 years)
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
ACLS certification
BLS certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Experience in a hospital setting
Use of AIDET

Unit Procedures

IV insertion and management
Management of lines and drains
Post-care management after cardiac catheterization, pacemaker placement or revision, or vascular surgery
Electronic charting

Patient Experience

Effective communication with patients
De-escalation techniques

Dress Code

Navy scrub top and pants, with a navy or white scrub jacket
Clean, healthy nails
Neat, clean hair with no extreme styles or colors. Beards, mustaches, and sideburns must be clean and neatly trimmed.
Tattoos covered whenever possible
Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited
