Location: Roaring Spring, PA Employment Type: Travel Contract Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1

Position Details

• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
• Call Requirements: None
• Patient Ratios: 1-4, depending on patient status
• Dress Code: No specific scrub colors required

Unit Information

• Unit: ICU, 4 beds
• Patient Population: Adult, geriatric
• Trauma Level: IV
• Common Diagnoses/Treatments: DKA, STEMI, CVA, Respiratory failure
• Equipment: Vent, IABP (Cath Lab stays on site), A-lines, CPAP
• EHR: EPIC (software familiarity, not a credential)
• Float Scope: Possible float to MedSurg if ICU is closed for the shift

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse license in Pennsylvania
• Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including ICU experience within the last year
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience with Epic

Pre-Start Requirements

• All candidates must have complete and clear screenings before start.
• Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance
• FBI fingerprinting: Accepted if completed within the last two years; otherwise, fingerprinting must be done before start.
• PATCH (PA State Police Clearance): Required for employment; volunteer clearances are not accepted.
• Fingerprints must be submitted before the candidate can be cleared.

Additional Information

• Orientation: Weekly, on Mondays
• Travel Eligibility: Candidates must live 60 miles or more from the facility to be considered for travel.
