Assignment Overview

Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 6 weeks
Hours: 40 hours per week
Location: San Antonio, Texas
Unit: Radiology Nursing Prep Hold, North Tower, SL2 floor
Schedule: No RTO or special scheduling

Unit Details

10 bays serving IR, CT, MRI, and US
Preferred staffing of 9 per day
Day shift: 8 CNC nurses
Night shift: call rotated
Patient ratio: 1:1
Dress code: Navy scrubs

Typical Procedures

Moderate sedation for IR
Invasive CT and MRI sedation

Requirements

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing
BLS certification, which must be in the submission packet
ACLS certification, which must be in the submission packet
Rapid Response experience (2 years), including experience within the last year
ED (Emergency Department), IR (Interventional Radiology), or ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience (2 years)
Interventional Radiology experience

Weekends and On-Call

On-call may be required Monday through Friday, 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 6 a.m. to 6 a.m.
Nurses would not be on call alone.
