Occupational Therapist (OT) - Travel Assignment

Location: Wichita, Kansas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36


Unit Information

  • Inpatient Rehabilitation setting with 41 beds
  • Therapy staff includes approximately 15-20 daily across PT, OT, and SLP disciplines
  • OT team currently staffed with 3 OTRs and 3 COTAs
  • Day shift requires 1 OT; every other weekend required
  • Patient treatment load: up to 6 patients per 8-hour shift
  • Equipment used: ESTIM, patient lifts, ADL/IADL equipment, gym equipment
  • EMR system: Meditech
  • Patients require 3 hours of therapy daily; clinician responsible for tracking treatment time and charges
  • Facility features state-of-the-art technology and a full IADL kitchen

Job Description

  • Provide evaluation and treatment focusing on ADLs and IADLs
  • Hands-on clinician role with flexible hours for treatment start/stop times
  • Team player environment with rotating weekend coverage

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license in Kansas
  • Occupational Therapist with at least 6 months of experience within the last year
  • BLS certification
  • OTR certification
  • De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting
