Job info

Registered Nurse (OB RN), Labor and Delivery

Location: Wausau, Wisconsin Employment Type: Travel Contract Length: 13 weeks Start Date: ASAP

Schedule

Guaranteed 36 hours per week
12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, with day/night variables
Every 3rd weekend and every other holiday rotation
Holidays: unit is closed during holidays, and guaranteed hours do not apply then
GSA hours are not guaranteed the week of orientation

On Call

Mandatory on-call hours of up to 20 hours in a 6-week block
Can be low censused and placed on call
Call-back minimum is 2 hours
If called in, must leave within 10 minutes of the call

Unit Information

Primary Location: OB unit
11-bed Labor and Delivery / 8-bed Postpartum
Approximately 1,350 deliveries annually (average of 112 per month)
Average daily census is highly variable
Scrub colors: any color
Float requirements: none

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum of 2 years of OB experience with Labor and Delivery experience
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
Labor and Delivery competent
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Advanced NRP

Eligibility Requirements

Traveler must live outside 50 miles of the facility (radius rule)

Flu Season Policy

Travelers who decline flu and COVID vaccination must wear a mask at all times during flu season.
Compliance with this facility policy is mandatory, with no exceptions. Failure to follow it may result in corrective action.
