Urology Medical Assistant
Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Seattle, Washington
- Backfill opening
- Temp to hire opportunity
- Open to local and non-local candidates in Washington state
- First-timers accepted
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- No weekends
- 4x9-hour shifts plus 1x4-hour shift
- Four days per week are 7:45 AM to 5:00 PM
- One day per week is 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, alternating based on the MD’s OR day
Required Qualifications
- Valid CMA license in Washington
- Clinic experience (0.5 years)
- Clinic experience within the last year
- Experience working with adult patients
- Experience in an outpatient setting
- Set up and assist with procedures: cystoscopy
- Set up and assist with procedures: prostate biopsy
- Set up and assist with procedures: bladder scans (PVRS)
Float Scope
- Expected to float to the Ravenna clinic location on Mondays
Clinical Skills / Duties
- Obtain vital signs
- Record history, medications, and allergies
- Room patients
- Assist with cystoscopy
- Assist with prostate biopsy
- Assist with bladder scans (PVRS)
- Set up and maintain a sterile field
- Label specimens
Setting
- Outpatient clinic with various specialties
- General urology patient population
Equipment
- Trophon
- Ultrasound Bx machine
- Bladder scanner
Charting
- EPIC experience preferred
Additional Notes
- Scrubs will be provided
