PCU Registered Nurse

Overview

Travel/contract role in Columbus, Ohio
16-week assignment
Night shift, 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
36 hours per week
Adults and geriatrics
Mixed-acuity surgical oncology unit with PCU and med-surg patients

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Ohio
PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience in an Acute Care setting

Clinical Experience

Surgical oncology
Hepatobiliary cancers
Colorectal cancer
Reconstructive plastics cases
Chemotherapy
Blood transfusions
IV antibiotics
Oncologic emergencies
Cytokine release syndrome
Insulin drips
Heparin drips
Infection prevention and fall prevention focus

Schedule and Work Conditions

Staffing goal is 1:4, with possible ratios up to 1:5
Weekend coverage varies based on unit needs
Travelers may be required to float within scope of practice
Rotating day/night scheduling may occur based on department needs
No set or blocked scheduling
