Overview

  • Travel/Contract assignment in Tulsa, Oklahoma
  • 13-week contract
  • Day shift, 3x12 hours: 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
  • 36 hours per week
  • 30-bed unit with ortho/spine and medical overflow
  • Unit accepts first-time travelers
  • Local candidates are not accepted; local radius is 75 miles
  • Scrub color: Navy
  • Documentation system: EPIC

Unit Details

  • Ortho RN
  • Float requirement: yes, within scope
  • Weekend requirement: every other weekend
  • Patient ratio: 1:5-6

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Oklahoma
  • Orthopedics (1 year of experience)
  • Orthopedics experience within the last year
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross or RQI or American Safety and Health Institute
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Drivers License/State ID
  • Education verification
  • 7-year background check within 1 year of start
  • 7-year work history verification
  • Clear headshot for badge
  • Physical exam within 12 months of start
  • Fit test within 1 year of start
  • Negative 2-Step PPD, QGOLD, or TSPOT within 1 year of start
  • TB questionnaire required within 90 days of start for positive TB results
  • Adult Tdap vaccine within 10 years of start
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
  • Flu vaccine or agency-approved medical/religious exemption during flu season
  • Complete application/resume
  • Unit-specific skills checklist
  • NURSYS verification
  • State license verification
  • E-Verify
  • Fingerprinting onsite during orientation for New Mexico placements only

Preferred Qualifications

  • ACLS as applicable
  • PALS as applicable
  • NRP as applicable
  • CHEMO as applicable
  • TNCC as applicable
  • Management of Assaultive Behavior as applicable
  • NIH Stroke Certification as applicable
  • CPI as applicable
  • Medication test/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
  • Competency exam as applicable

Additional Notes

  • Locals not accepted
