RN - Operating Room - Open Heart/CVOR

Location: Amarillo, Texas Employment Type: Temp Contract Length: 7 weeks Shift: 8-hour day shift, Monday-Friday, 0700-1530, 40 hours/week (8 hours/day)

Schedule and Call

On-call rotation: CV call typically runs Friday 1530 to Monday 0700, usually 1-2 weekends per month depending on the calendar.
Holidays must be included in the schedule requirement.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
CVOR (3 years of experience)
CVOR experience within the last year
PALS
BLS
ACLS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience with Cerner

Additional Notes

Would consider an OR nurse with 1 year of experience both scrubbing and circulating.

Role Overview

Provides safe, competent nursing care in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy, with professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
Typical CVOR cases include cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgeries such as Coronary Artery Bypass Grafts (CABG), valve replacement, carotid endarterectomy, and aortic abdominal aneurysm repair.
