Location: Indianapolis, Indiana Employment Type: Travel Contract Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 (new position, not a replacement)
Shift and Schedule
- Nights, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Weekends: every other weekend (Friday and Saturday nights)
- No call requirements
Unit Details
- Unit: Neuro Critical Care, 4 W in Tower building
- Specialty: Neurosurgical and Neurological Intensive Care
- Beds: 10
- Patient ratios: 1:1, 1:2, 1:3
- Patient types: Ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, post-op craniotomy, seizures, encephalopathy, neurologic tumors
- Equipment: Alaris pumps, Arctic Sun, Prismax, EV 1000, Neuroptics pupillometer
- Float scope: Floats to other inpatient areas when the home unit is low census
Requirements
- Valid RN license in Indiana
- CCU - Coronary Care (2 years of experience)
- CCU - Coronary Care experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Neuro ICU experience

Orientation
- Required modules completed on the first day
- EMR training if needed
- One day of orientation on the unit
Dress Code
- Navy scrubs
- No hoodies
