Location: Austin, Texas Contract Length: 13 weeks Hours: 36 per week Employment Type: Travel Unit/Department: Imaging Services
Schedule
- Day shift, Monday to Friday, 8 hours. The posting lists 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, and unit details list 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
- On-call: one weekday each week and every fourth weekend.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- BLS issued by American Red Cross
- Texas Medical Board Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiology
- 1 year of radiology experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience in surgery providing imaging support and willingness to work in surgery
- Proficient in the use of a C-Arm

Unit Overview
- Beds: 43
- Staffing: Day shift has 1 manager, 1 RN, and 3 radiologic technologists. Night shift is hiring for 1 radiologic technologist.
- Equipment: Siemens Luminos Agile Max RF room, two GE Optima portable x-ray units, four GE OEC 9900 Elite C-Arms, one Orthoscan Mini C-Arm, one Stryker Mobius Airo unit, one Medtronic O-Arm, Konica DR system, Fuji Synapse PACS
- Radiology exams are ordered for patients in: surgery, the recovery room, a Med-Surg floor, inpatient rehab, the ICU, an outpatient clinic, and a small two-bed emergency room
- Surgery cases: Predominantly orthopedic and neuro-spine
