Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Minimum of 3 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association or RQI (instructor cards are not accepted)
• BLS issued by the American Heart Association or RQI (instructor cards are not accepted)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification. The job description lists this as required, but the additional information exempts Tele RNs. Confirm with the recruiter.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute): Preferred. Only the CPI Blue Card is accepted; other CPI courses are not. MAB is not accepted in place of CPI.

Health and Compliance Requirements

• Physical exam: Within 1 year of start; updated annually
• N95 fit test: Within 1 year of start; renewed annually. PAPR is accepted only with documentation of a failed N95 fit test.
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap: Required. If it cannot be obtained for a health reason, a Pertussis titer showing immunity is required.
• TB screening: Negative PPD, TSpot, or QuantiFERON Gold within 1 year of start
• Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella: Positive titer, or 2 vaccines after age 1. Negative or equivocal titers require 2 boosters, and the candidate may start with the 2nd booster pending.
• Hepatitis B: Vaccine series or declination required. Titer alone is not acceptable.
• Hepatitis C: Titer strongly preferred; declination accepted if necessary
• Drug screen: 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start (instant drug screen acceptable); not updated annually
• Influenza vaccine: Required by 12/5 for the 2026-27 season. Declinations are accepted. Candidates who are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or who lack a current flu vaccine must follow universal masking on facility grounds.

• Medication/calculation exam (RNs)
