MRI Tech

• Location: Cleveland, Ohio
• Employment Type: LTA
• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule

• 2nd shift: four 10-hour shifts, 1:00 PM to 11:30 PM
• Rotating Saturday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with call

Responsibilities

• Siemens Magnetom Altea 1.5T MR scanning
• Provides age-specific patient care during the MRI visit
• Performs MRI scans as directed by the radiologist; after orientation and training, independently conducts scans
• Maintains knowledge of MRI equipment and MRI safety
• Assures a safe and clean environment
• Maintains technical skills
• Collaborates effectively and promptly with co-workers and clinical staff
• Applies knowledge of modality-specific equipment, computers, and PACS
• Complies with all policies and standards

Requirements

• MRI Technologist with at least 2 years of experience
• MRI Technologist experience within the last year
• ARRT registration
• Driver's license

Licenses

• Valid permanent license (compact or Ohio state). Temporary licenses are not accepted.
• License verification via Primary Source Verification, completed within 30 days before start and rerun every 2 years with license renewal

Onboarding Requirements

• Immunizations and health:

  • MMR: positive or immune titers from the last 15 years; childhood vaccine series not accepted
  • Varicella: positive or immune titers from the last 15 years; childhood vaccine series not accepted
  • Hepatitis B: positive titers within 15 years, proof of the full 3-dose series (no childhood vaccines), or a signed declination
  • Tdap: within the last 10 years; declinations not accepted
  • Influenza vaccine required October through March (dates subject to change). Declinations require a masking attestation and an influenza vaccine declination form. Medical exemptions require a medical accommodation form and a physician-signed letter.
  • TB test (QuantiFERON, T-SPOT, or 2-step PPD) within the last 6 months, with negative results and annual renewal. A positive result requires a clear chest X-ray and current TB questionnaire.
  • Fit test within 1 year before start, with annual renewal. Fit testing must be completed before the compliance deadline.
  • Physical exam within 1 year before start, with a signed pre-employment statement that the traveler can work without restrictions
  • Drug screen within 60 days of start, on a lab report (instant screens not accepted)
• Background and identity:

  • Criminal background check within 6 months of start, covering the last 7 years
  • Ohio fingerprint check (BCI&I) plus FCRA-compliant national database check if living in Ohio 5+ years; otherwise Ohio fingerprints plus FBI fingerprint check
  • OIG search completed within 6 months before start
  • SAM/OFAC screening completed within 6 months before start
  • I-9 or attestation that a completed I-9 is on file
  • Non-expired photo ID; driver's license address must match the candidate profile
  • Badge photo: shoulders up, plain background, JPEG only
• Education and employment:

  • Highest education level verified through a third-party vendor. Foreign education requires an equivalency document from an accredited evaluator.
  • Employment verification within the last 5 years through a third-party vendor. Prior travel assignments must be listed on the resume work history.
  • Prior Employment Form confirming any previous W-2 employment
• Competencies and training:

  • Skills checklist, completed within 1 year before start and required once at initial hire
  • Competency exam for the department, scoring at least 80%, completed within 1 year before start
  • Core competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission NPSG, and OSHA topics), scoring at least 80%, completed within 1 year before start; Core 1, 2, and 3 must be uploaded
  • Facility safety and compliance training modules, with a completion certificate renewed annually
• Submission packet: resume (including work history and education), 2 professional references from the last 2 years, and a completed job application

• COVID-19 vaccine (preferred, not required)
