RN - Progressive Care Unit

Location: Goldsboro, North Carolina Employment Type: Clinical, Nursing Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: Nights, 12 hours per day, 48 hours per week

Role Summary

Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards. Reports to the Nurse Manager/Director and is responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care using the nursing process in a hospital setting. Duties include patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care; patient and family education; discharge planning; point-of-care testing; interdisciplinary collaboration; and participation in unit performance improvement activities.

• This is a float pool position.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience (2 years).
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year.
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited school of nursing.
• Med Surg experience.
• Telemetry experience.
• ED (Emergency Department) experience.
