Assignment Length
- 13 weeks

Schedule
- Day shift
- 8-hour shifts
- Start time flexes between 6:00 AM and 8:00 AM
- Schedule is made out by the director
- Travelers are asked to be flexible and help fill gaps in permanent scheduling
Required Qualifications
- Medical Lab Technician (2 years of experience)
- Medical Lab Technician experience within the last year
- ASCP
- BLS
- Phlebotomy experience
- Manual differentials
- Manual cell counts
- Ability to cover 3 out of 4 areas: chemistry, hematology, serology, or coagulation
Preferred Qualifications
- Generalist preferred
Clinical Areas / Duties
- Chemistry
- Hematology
- Serology

- May include blood bank
- Evening and night shift lab techs cover phlebotomy services for the hospital
- Contact with patients while performing phlebotomy
- Lab assistant duties may include checking in specimens and loading the automation line
Experience Notes
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Small lab environment
- Need someone who is flexible and can help wherever necessary
Orientation
- 2 weeks with a preceptor
- Training needs are evaluated based on skillset and experience
Additional Details
- BLS is not required for lab staff
- No call or standby call requirement
- Any color scrubs
- Weekend and holiday needs depend on traveler skillset
