Registered Nurse - MS/Tele

Location: Alameda, California

Employment Type: Travel/Contract

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule: Day shift, 3 x 12-hour shifts, 11:00 to 23:30

• Weekends: every other weekend
• 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week

Experience Required: 2 years of experience in the specialty

Required Qualifications

Licenses and Verifications

• Current, unencumbered state license, verified within 15 days prior to start
• Current, unencumbered NURSYS verification (RN), verified within 15 days prior to start

Certifications

• ACLS (AHA only)
• BLS (AHA only)
• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Certification; can be completed onsite if not already held)

Other Certifications (required or preferred depending on the unit; confirm with the recruiter)

• PALS, NRP, Chemotherapy, TNCC, EFM, Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB), CPI

Preferred Certifications

Onboarding Requirements

Background and Education

• Background check within 90 days prior to start, including SSN trace, 7-year nationwide, county, and national criminal searches, FACIS Level 3, National Sex Offender, OIG, OFAC, and SAM.gov checks (no pending searches accepted)
• HHS/OIG and EPLS/GSA/SAM checks within 90 days of start
• Education verification (third-party verification of highest level required for the position; cannot be pending at start)

Health

• Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by an MD, DO, PA, NP, or APRN
• Tdap within 10 years of start (or signed declination; TD not accepted)
• TB test: IGRA (QuantiFERON or T-SPOT) within 90 days, or 2 PPDs; TB questionnaire required regardless of result
• Measles, mumps, and rubella: proof of 2 MMR vaccinations or positive IgG titer
• Varicella: proof of 2 vaccinations or positive IgG titer
• Hepatitis B: positive titer, or proof of 3-dose series or signed declination
• Flu vaccine or declination required during flu season
• Color blind exam (Ishihara) within 90 days of start
• Fit test with an acceptable N95 mask within 90 days of start (all patient-facing positions)
• Oral saliva drug screen within 30 days of start (rapid tests not accepted)

Documentation

• Photo ID (driver's license or passport), with a clear, color photo
• Passport-style badge photo
• Current resume covering the last 7 years of employment
• Work history verification for the past 3 years
• Medical and employee information release form
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement

Competencies

• Complete all New Employee Orientation (NEO) modules and competencies on the first day of work
• Assignment terminates if modules and competencies are not completed within 14 days of start
• New competencies required if the clinician has been away for 6 months or more
