Overview

• Travel assignment in Newburgh, Indiana
• Primary location: Gateway
• 13-week contract
• Clinical interview
• No local candidates within 40 miles
• Start date: 11/2 with bi-weekly orientation

Schedule

• 12-hour day shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week; will accept 48-hour contracts upon request
• No blocked schedule requests
• Weekend requirement: three weekends out of every six-week schedule
• Holiday requirement: every other holiday

Float Scope

• First to float within skillset
• May float to Deaconess Midtown campus and potentially Deaconess Henderson
• 2-hour notice for cross-campus float
• Mid-shift float within the same campus
• Cross-campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Indiana
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Neurology (2 years of experience)
• Neurology experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• Trauma experience
• Experience with Epic

Patient Population

• Neuro and Neuro-Surgical patients
• CVAs
• Elective back/neck surgeries
• Post-op cranis
• Cerebral angiogram
• General medical and psych

Unit Details

• 37-bed unit
• Day ratio: 1:5-6
• Night ratio: 1:5-7
• CN takes partial patient assignment

Additional Notes

• Teaching hospital; may require precepting students and new-hires
• Navy blue scrubs
• No competing health systems or agency logos
• 3 call-ins can result in termination
• COVID-19 vaccine not required, subject to change
