Job Overview

Required Qualifications

• California RN license
• At least 1 year of ER unit experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, and either CPI or MAB
• EPIC experience
• Must be willing to float
• Must be within 50 miles or 1 hour commute
• Two direct supervisor references, with at least one included at submission
• Returning clinicians who previously worked at PIH Health Systems need a supervisor reference confirming rehire eligibility and facility approval
• Returning PIH staff employees must have had a 1-year separation period

Schedule Notes

• Shift times may vary
• Same-day or just-in-time shifts may be released about 6 hours before start
• Candidates should be comfortable with just-in-time needs

Work Setting

• Emergency department role
• Basic unit orientation is provided
• RN is expected to work independently on the first shift

Compliance and Onboarding

• Allscripts charting is used until 02/01/2027
• Per diem clinicians must complete Allscripts computer-based training before start on their own time
• Pass/fail dysrhythmia/EKG testing is required for ER RNs
• Fire card required before start
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Parking costs $15
• COVID vaccine declinations are accepted
