ICU Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Fayetteville, Georgia Contract length: 12 weeks Shift: Night, 4x12-hour shifts (18:45 to 07:15), 48 hours per week Unit: ICU with IMCU Ratio: 1:2-3 Patient population: Adults to geriatrics Unit systems: Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Georgia
• ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience of 2 years
• ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience working with cardiac patients
• Experience working with surgical patients
• Experience with ventilator management
• Experience with dialysis

Assignment Details

• Floating: within the facility and to a sister campus if needed
• Requested time off: up to 7 days per contract
• Weekends: every other weekend
• Holidays: If one major holiday falls in the assignment, the traveler must work it. If two fall in the assignment, both must be worked. If three fall, two must be worked. Major holidays are Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day.
• Clinical screen: Clinical reviews the candidate for fit. If they pass, the candidate goes to the manager for a final decision. Screens are done case by case.
• Local candidates accepted.
• Non-billable orientation hours equal the contract length (for example, 19 hours for a 19-week assignment).

Common Patient Conditions

Sepsis, cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, ventilator and trach care, DKA, dialysis, stroke post-TPA, COVID-19, cardiogenic shock, and surgical patients.
