Unit / Assignment Details

• ICU float/CV ICU role
• Floating includes multiple ICUs: Trauma, Oncology, Cardiac / Heart and Vascular, Neurology, Medicine, and COVID
• If ICU needs are low, may float to inpatient floors as a staff nurse
• May float to non-critical care units when census is low in ICU
• May be asked to work as a patient sitter if needed
• ICU ratio: 2:1 for all shifts
• Inpatient floor ratio: no more than 1:3
• Every other weekend required, or 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Holiday rotation required

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• CVICU (1 year of experience)
• CVICU experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience with ventilator management
• IV insertion skills
• Experience with conscious or moderate sedation
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience

• Level 1 Trauma experience
• CRRT experience
• Past EPIC experience strongly preferred
