Overview

• Travel contract in Lakewood, Washington
• Primary assignment is in the ER
• Nights, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Active BLS
• Active ACLS
• Active WA license
• 2 full years of ER experience

Assignment Details

• Orientation/education hours are not guaranteed during the first 2 weeks; expect 25+ hours
• Fast track: yes
• 27 beds/trauma bays, including fast track
• 0 psych/seclusion rooms
• Typical ratio: 4:1
• EMR: Epic
• Charge nurse role available if experienced
• Security/patient sitters: yes, 1:1s
• Weekend requirement: every other
• Holidays: yes, unless time off is requested
• Scrub color: any
• Tele/monitor techs: no
• Vents: no, RT owns for the most part
• ED physicians/mid-levels: ED MDs only
• Lab draws: RNs should be able to draw; lab is backup
• IV team: the ED is the IV team
• RT 24/7: yes
• Pharmacy 24/7: yes
• Floor-specific orientation: yes
• Common patient population: all ages, varied diagnoses

Float Scope

• May be required to float throughout Region Two:

  • St Joseph Medical Center, Tacoma, WA
  • St. Elizabeth Hospital, Enumclaw, WA
  • St. Clare Hospital, Lakewood, WA
