Medical Surgical/Oncology RN

Overview

Travel/Contract role in Charleston, West Virginia
29-bed adult Medical Surgical/Oncology unit
Includes medical and surgical patients battling cancer, palliative care, family education of oncological processes, plus Urology and Telemetry patients
3x12 night shifts, 7p-7a
Every other weekend required
Float within scope as needed
36 or 48-hour contract options
36 hours guaranteed
Strong candidates without Oncology experience may be considered

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in West Virginia
Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ONS/ONCC
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Driver's License
Central Line Draws
Experience with Ports
Blood Administration
Experience with PCA Pumps
Bone Marrow Aspiration Assist
Pleurx Chest Tubes
Oncology experience

Preferred

Chemotherapy Administration

Additional Notes

Holiday RTO requests should be limited to no more than 1 of the 3 major holidays
Blocked schedule requests may be accommodated
100-mile radius rule applies; 75-99 miles may be sent for facility approval
Parking is free for travelers
Cerner charting is used
