Job Summary
Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician specializing in operating room services supports cardiovascular and main operating room procedures in an acute care setting. The role assists with a broad range of cases, including coronary artery bypass grafting, valve procedures, pacemakers, lead extractions, lung procedures, orthopedic, general, vascular, neurological, spine, ear, nose, and throat, and trauma cases. Strong experience with total joint, general, vascular, and spine procedures is required.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience; Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification; COVID-19 vaccination required.
- Schedule: Evening shifts of 12 hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Night shifts and call coverage are required, including approximately one to two weeknight call shifts per week and weekend call approximately once per month.
- Additional Information: The role supports a 1:1 patient-to-staff ratio and includes orientation with a preceptor. Responsibilities may include cardiovascular operating room and main operating room cases, including coronary artery bypass grafting, valve procedures, pacemakers, lead extractions, lung procedures, orthopedic, general, vascular, neurological, spine, ear, nose, and throat, and trauma cases. Candidates must have strong experience with total joint, general, vascular, and spine procedures. Weekend and holiday coverage is provided through call rotation.
