Overview

We are seeking an experienced Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills and the ability to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day Shift (4x12 hours)
• Schedule: Weekdays, weekends; 3 shifts per 4-week schedule

Unit Information

This position is within a 34-bed medical/surgical unit equipped for telemetry. The nurse-to-patient ratio is approximately 1:5-7.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a medical-surgical setting
• Required Certifications:
  • BCLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NIH Stroke Scale
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• Travel Experience: Not required
• EMR System: Cerner
• Attendance: Candidates should be aware of the attendance policy, which allows for only 2-3 call-offs per contract.

Responsibilities

The Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will be responsible for the following:

• Providing direct patient care, including assessments and treatment plans.
• Administering medications and monitoring patient responses.
• Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educating patients and families on health management and post-discharge care.
• Documenting patient care and progress in the EMR system.
